  • applying for H1 Visa after L1 Visa get rejected

Hello My L1B visa get rejected on Mar 2012, i got RFE and then I got an email that this Role(my US project role) doesn't require specialized skill, I am applying for fresh H1B visa for Oct 2014. I have few questions:
    a) What are the previous petition copies (I797, I129 etc) require to file for H1B?
    b) Will the L1B rejection impact the chances of H1B filing?

    Hello, Vibhu.

Why would previous petition copies be required? This is a fresh visa and your employer needs to file I797 for you.

Your past rejection record will stay in the systems of the US Consulate but that should not worry you. You get your paperwork in place for the H1B and be thorough with the paperwork, leave the rest to circumstances. For any petition, your paperwork matters.

    Wishing you luck.

    Cheers,
These are my personal thoughts. I am not a professional.

    Wishing you luck.
