Using old H1

Hi there,

I am on L1A in US with I-94 expiring in Jul-14. I was in US from 07-09 (around 3 yrs) on H1-B. Went back to India and came to US in 2011 on L1 A.
Can I use my old H1-B for extension and convert from L1-A to H1-B?

Yes but you will get only 6 Years minus time already spent previously on H1+L1 status. So if you already spent 3 Years on H1 and 3 Years on L1 then there is no time remaining.
