Information / Help needed on H1B Amendment

Hi,

My company processed H1B & i got the I-797 for 1 year and then got stamped for 1 year for X client this month. (I am in India)

Now i am not going to work for this client X, but will be working for Client Y.For the change in the client the company is processing H1B Amendment.

My question is do i get new I-797 ?

If i get new I-797 for 3 years then again i have to attend the interview?

Till when is the visa in passport valid?
