Question Regarding H1 transfer

I have couple of questions pertaining to my H1 transfer situation
My current H1 is valid until Nov-2013 and my current employer A has filed for a extension for which i have received the receipt notice. I am in final rounds for a new employer B.
1) Will employer B be able to initiate the H1 transfer in this interim or would have to wait until the approval of this extension.
2) In case the transfer process begins before the end date of my current H1; will employer B need my receipt notice or my earlier I-797 or both to initiate the transfer.

Your transfer to Employer B will have to wait till the extension decision is out. Employer B could still file for a transfer, but that would most likely hit an RFE as your current legal stay in USA is dependent on the visa extension petition.
