  • indian employer to h1 with us employer

    hi all,

I am currently serving notice period for an indian IT company. my employment with this company would end on dec 5 ,2013 and my employment with the US company that has sponsored my h1 would begin in jan.
My question is i plan to go for the visa interview in last week of nov. I will not be getting an experience certificate from the indian company by then.
What can i show as a proof for experience and what kind of questions can be asked?
If anyone with similar situation pls do reply.

this is my first application for h1. never been to the us earlier.

    Hello, PRT.

I am hoping that you quit your Indian employer for reasons other than this employment with the US employer. I say so because your H1B visa interview is not clear yet.

Anyway, they generally do not look at Experience Certificate etc. The I797 gets approved after a decent amount of diligence. The questions they will ask you will be: What is your project in USA all about? Who is your employer? What is your salary? What will you do: a) What is your title, b) What is your role, etc. etc. What is your education?

    I hope this helps.

    Wishing you luck.

    Cheers,
These are my personal thoughts. I am not a professional.

    Wishing you luck.
