I am looking for H1B sponsor FY 2014 , I am working as engineering manager in large US based telecom firm in Bangalore.

Is it fine to attempt seeking H1B through consulting firm and later transfer to better company once we find
the suitable job?

How about H1base.com? Is it helpful in such cases?

Hello, Shirish.

It is a mix. A number of people are working in the US on H1B through consultancies - some are happy, some are not. If you can find a reasonably good consultancy, i think it is ok to have them sponsor your H1B, to start with. And, you could later jump ships.

Do run a review check of your consultancy - desicrunch.com, yelp.com etc. etc.
