You dont need to go for a new stamping but employer Y need to send you an approved I797 petition using which you can enter US.

And during the process of approving I797 by employer Y , do I need to visit US embassy again by any chance? Actually am try to find out during the process do I need to go to chennai US embassy for any type of interview? (during visa stamping I had faced interview in chennai embassy)

I have a H1 visa with company X. Currently, in India and still have not gone to US.

As per my understanding I Can Get my H1 transferred to a new company Y from India itself....but do I again need to go to US embassy for visa stamping during H1 transfer? (I already have visa stamped on my passport).
