H-1B Visa/ Name Clarification

hello all,

My Fiancee employer in India has applied for her H-1B which got approved. However her name in the H-1B petition has been jumbled (i..e)

First name was given as Last Name and Last Name was given as first name.

However in the Passport it is: Last Name/ Surname = Last Name and
First Name/ Given Name = First name.

She has a appointment at the Chennai Consulate in November.

In order for her to attend the Interview, it is required that we get an endorsment in the Passport saying that the version of the name applied by the employer is the same as in the passport.

Has anyone gone thru this scenario, and if so can u please let me know how to go about getting the endorsment in the passport.

My Fiancee is currently in Hyderabad, India.

Hi,
Don't change her name on the passport if that is the correct name. Try if you can change the name on the approval.
