Can I transfer H1B visa when I am in USA on B1 visa

Guys,

I have USA B1/B2 visa as well as unused H1B visa stamped on my passport. I am currently in USA on B1 visa. I found an employer who is interested in transferring my visa. Please do let me know if I can transfer my H1B visa in this case.

Technically yes, practically difficult to do so. USCIS doesnt particularly appreciate the idea that one comes in to US on a Business/visitor visa and later decides to convert to a full time work visa without leaving US and getting appropriate visa stamped in home country unless of course there is strong reason to do so.
