  • H1 Visa Stamping interview - Confusion with question

    HI All

I will be going to embassy in India in few days.

I work for an Indian company(X) and will be going for project at one of its client office (Y)

I understand that my employer is X only.

If the visa officer asks for whom will you work in USA should I say for "Y" or " I will work for one of my employer "X" client "Y".

I understand that it should be second option but can some one remove this confusion. Thanks

How did you respond to this during your interview?

Irrespective of who/where/when - you always work for the company who holds your VISA. If the officer specifically asks you the client you work for, then you need to mention Y, else it's always X.

It's just opinion based on my experience.
