  • h1 stamping

    Hi ,

my current h1 visa is expiring on 27th July 2014 . I don't have a stamping for it as of now.
I am planning to go to India in month of march 2014 after get my extension done.

So my question is when i go to India for stamping what would be my visa end date on passport - will it be July 2014 or according to my new extended visa.

    Thanks

Visa, petition and I-94 are 3 different things.

When you say getting extension done, dont you mean getting a extended petition too?

If you go for stamping with the extended petition the visa end date will be as per new petition end date (assuming you havent already spent 6 Years on H1 and dont have an immigrant petition pending).

This is my opinion not legal advice.

      Thanks for your reply.

I mean petition extension only . In my case i don't have stamping even for my existing petition. So in other words my question is will my visa stamping on passport be as per my existing petition validity or new extended petition validity.

It will be as per the extended petition if extended petition is approved.
