Is H1B amendment required for client change?

My employer filed my H1B visa with client 1 for long term.
But currently I am working for client 2 at different location. My employer has already filed LCA for client 2.

Is it mandatory to file H1B amendment for new client 2?

LCAs are filed with DOL and amendments with USCIS and this is where confusion comes. Though not mandatory but it is recommended and in your interest to do so. Sometimes USCIS does site inspections and expects an amendment to H1B to be filed otherwise might revoke the H1 giving rise to larger problems.
