H1B transfer from one company to another

I am presently an employee of company A and filed for H1B transfer to company B.
My Last day in Company A is 3rd feb 2014 but company A said it will pay me till feb 7 2014 and that will be my official last day.
Can I start working for company B from 4th feb 2014?

As long as you are paid by only one employer for Feb 4th, 5th, 6th I think you should not worry.
