Original Certificates Destroyed

Hello All,

I had provided a photocopy of my original certificates.
My original certificates have been destroyed recently and I have been able to get the duplicate certificates now.

Will this have any effect on the Visa stamping? Has anyone been through such a situation?

Thanks, Actually my certificates were not destroyed totally, only the sides were destroyed and the name of the institute/university was not very ligible.

When enquired with the university, they informed me that I need to write a letter and attach the original copy, based on which they would issue a duplicate certificate.

So Presently I have letters sent to the university along with a photocopy of the damaged certificate but I do not have any legal document(FIR) regarding the same.

Will it be sufficient if I take all the letters submitted(but which do not have any acknowledgement from the university) along with the copy of the damaged certificates to prove that the original were destroyed and duplicate were issued for teh same.

Hi,
Just take all possible proof to show that your original certificates were destroyed, and produce the same if and only if questioned in this regard.
