will i get 6 years if i stay in india for a year with my h1 visa

Currently my H1 visa is expiring by July 2015, if i go to india now and come back after an year i.e. by April/May 2015, will i be able to stay for another 6 years? currently i completed 4.5 years in US...

You won't get a fresh 6 years by merely staying out for an year. if you leave now in order to get fresh 6 year H1 eligibility you would have to apply fresh H1 in April 2015 with a start date of Oct 2015.
