H1 Consular Processing while I-94 is getting expired

Hi,

I am currently on L1B and have valid I-94 till June 2014, also have valid L1B visa stamped till July 2015.

My Company is processing my H1 as Consular processing.

I need to get my I-94 extended before June 2014. So I am planning to go to Canada for a weeks time in May 2014 to get new I-94.

Will this travel and new I-94 number change have any impact on my H1 processing ?
My company is not going to file Premium processing.
