H1B Stamping before current visa expires

Hi,

My current H1B is expiring on 01-May-2014. Also, my employer filed the extension in premium processing and it has been approved by USCIS but I am yet to get the physical copy of my petition. I am travelling to India on 27-Feb-2014 and coming back on 7-Apr-2014. Will it be possible to go for stamping based on new petition in India before my current H1B expires?
