H1 extension and spouse's travel

Hi

I am on H1 and my wife is on H4. My work permit expires in Oct. My employer will file for renewal in April end and we expect the petition by July end.
But my wife needs to travel to India in May/June.

1. Can she travel in May/June after we file for extension in April and while the extension is pending.
2. I plan to mail her the extension after it is approved in July. Can she then go for stamping using the new approval?

H1 extension and spouse's travel

It's not advisable to travel when the petition is pending for the decision. I would recommend to apply both H1 & H4 in premium to get the decision in premium if you cannot avoid the travel.
