Visitor visa - B2 and H1-B at the same time

I have a valid H1B till Feb 2016; I am currently in India (I worked in US for 2 years). Is it possible to get a visitor visa - B2 while also having my H1-B active?
My going for B2, does H1B get nullified?

I dont see any issues as long as its genuine B2 visit. They would assess the reasons which will compel you to return back, a family (spouse/kid) behind , a strong job in home country are reasons they would be looking for apart from the purpose of travel. Also, at worst , upon entry to US, they may have an annotation saying no EOS/AOS/COS which will prevent you from converting B2 to H1 while in US.
