I have some questions about India travel during this August 2014.
I have done my masters in US. My F1 visa is valid till June 6th 2016.
I am on OPT (1st OPT for 12 months) right now. My OPT will expire on June 17th 2014.
I am applying for my OPT extension (STEM Extension for 17 months) in a week.
My employer is also applying H1 for me this year. So, if my process goes fine, my H1 starts from October 1st 2014.
Questions :
1) Can I travel to India in August for 3 weeks (assuming that I have a valid OPT Extension), if I have an approved H1 visa (I 797 A)?
2) Can I travel to India in August for 3 weeks (assuming that I have a valid OPT Extension), if my H1 visa is still in processing?
3) What are the chances that I can be stopped in India or at port of entry asking me to get my visa stamped in India and enter US only after October 1st 2014, while coming back ?
I can provide valid offer letter, employment letter and pay slips.
Please help me with the above questions.
