Is it possible to take H4 interview in Regional Language?

Hi All,

I am currently working in US in H1B and going to get married in few months. My Fiance is not very fluent in English and is scared to take H4 interview in English. She will be taking the interview in Chennai, so I would like to know if its possible to take the interview in Tamil.

Can someone guide how to book the interview in tamil/regional language?
Did anyone have similar experience and got visa by taking interview in tamil/regional language?

Yes, You can take the interview in regional language.

While booking the appointment, you can opt for the regional language i.e., in your fiance's case 'Tamil'.

I am in similar situation.
1. Can I and my wife can take interview in two different languages (my H1 in English and wife's H4 in Telugu/Tamil) at the same appointment time and at the counter in Chennai US consulate.
2. If we can do so, would there any issues in Visa approval for H1 & H4 because of language selection?
3. Has there been a case in the past where H1 visa is approved and but H4 is refused (for any mistakes) at the same time.
