Question on H1 B stamping and passport expiry date

Hi,
I work in USA on H1 B visa. My current visa expired on Jan 2014, however I have the I-797 and I-94 extended till Jan 2015. And my passport expires on July 2015.

I have two questions
1. I am planning to visit India in Aug/Sep 2014. At that time I will have to appear for stamping. As my I-797 is valid for another 3 or 4 months only from that time-frame, I would like to know is there any requirement for stamping on I-797 minimum validity. Is 3-4 month sufficient?
2. Similar question on validity requirement for passport for stamping, my passport will be valid only for another 9 or 10 months from Aug/Sept. Is that sufficient?

There's really no minimum so long as your I-797 is valid until 01/2015 so you should be fine.

Your passport is okay too.
