Hi

My employer 'A' revoked my H1B on May 9th 2014.I applied H1B transfer on May 5th 2014 and the documents reached to USCIS on May 7th 2014.But the employer 'B' didn't provide me the receipt number.He is saying that due to heavy applications from the last one month USCIS is taking time to generate the receipt numbers.So i want to know that i need to wait for the receipt number or i need to leave the country??..Please give me valuable suggestions

What is your visa validity date? Was that applied In a premium mode?

Hopefully, you will get the decision in this week or next week if everything goes well.

Technically you are out of status only from yesterday as you are not on any pay roll. It is also not advisable to join the new employer until you get the decision. You will never know what would USCIS ask for all other future petitions if you are continue to be out of status even for a week to 10 days.

The best option would be go out of country and come back with the new approved petition with current visa.

This is my opinion.
