L1 to H4 conversion

Hi ,
My wife is on L1 for a short term project in the US.
She cannot resign her job.

After the contract expires, can she avail H4 without leaving
the country.

Hi,
She can file for change of status from L1 to H4. It depends on her understanding with her employer whether she can do so without resigning. I am sure you know that she cannot work while on H4.
