H4 Visa requirements

I have an H1 approval now, I am currently on OPT, My H1B is starting from 1st Jan 2006, My wife is going to apply for dependent visa sometime in March in the Mumbai consulate, How many months pay sleeps Do I need to give her?

Are there any other important documents does she require other than Marriage papers(snaps, invitation letter, etc) , H1B documents and employer letter?
