H1 Refused

Hi

On oct 19th i went to Chennai consulate,


visa officer told ,my employer will not provide suitable employment and hence refused.

I have given 221(g) Higlighting in the 221(G) form as Administrative Processing

Any body have any idea ? what should i do ?

I have solid 6 yr;s exp in Very Big MNC .

Any body can save me out by advicing me.

Nothng to worry about the 221 (g). Just you need to provide all the documents which check marked in the 221(g) document. Provide all the information about the compnay and you job, duration of the project and so on.
just they want make sure you will be on work the job as soon as you landed in US ans start eaning. make sure you you convince the VO with the with the detail documents. I am working top company in india last 6 yrs and has got 8 yrs of exp. and has valid work visa to us. still they issued 221(g). so don't worry. Just provide documents and attend the interview.

Hey..nothing to worry abt 221(g). i attended last week. all the documents should be perfect..thats all. One thing to be noted is while reappearing, u have to submit ds-156,157 again.. with photo and all..actually i forgot and they gave me form and filled it ..

I'm in the same situation as you're in. I was asked for additional documents initially and later was issued a 221(g) stating that 'additional administrative processing' required. Not sure how long that would take. One thing I found out from other forums is, if they took your finger prints exclusively before issuing 221(g) then it is 'security clearance' stuff. Even otherwise, not sure about the wait time. Not sure what the other options are.

Hi Kumar,
You will have to wait till they get in touch with you. You cannot enter the consulate unless the refusal letter says that you can walk in on any Tue, Wed, Thur. Just wait for them to call you. Try calling tham up.

Bybthe way i have one query ,veena,

Visa officer gave the 221(g) and tick mark on the matter saying administrative processing line...

She din;t highlited asking any further documents required ..

So my question is can i re-appear even they din't mentioned also.

For my collegue who is working with me has clearly told ,get some additional docs and all..

Could u advice me ,,,


If i have to go once again ,with what docs i have to go ?

Hi all,

I have completed my MS in US and returned to India a year ago. When I went for the h1 visa stamping a week ago, the visa officer issued me a 221(g) for additional administrative processing and said that they will let me know about my visa application status in 2 weeks. The visa officer has retained my passport and visa issuance fee DD along with visa application forms, I-797,I-129 application documents & LCA documents.

Please advise.....

Got 221(G) Twice

I've appeared for H1B visa interview at Delhi Consulate in Sep. I was given a 221(g) form & asked to appear at chennai consulate (I belong to CHN consular district) with additional documents related to my US Company.

I appeared in Chennai Consulate on Nov 2nd with all the documentation mentioned in the form. This time I was asked for a document detailing my Roles & Responsibilities (partaining specifically to the project that I will be working in US), and Technical description of the project (in-house) etc. I was given a 221(G) again (this time the content in the form was different than previous). I was asked to come back to Chennai on any Mon, Tue, Wed when I have the information ready.



I'm into Software industry for past 41/2 yrs. And I've already been to USA on an L1 visa and stayed there for over a year. I do not have any issues regarding my marksheets/acads, experience letters etc , they are all genuine.


I would like to know what are the implications of getting a 221(g) refusal twice? What are my chances to get the visa approved?

Your advice(s) will be appreciated.

You should be taking the additional requirements mentioned in the 221G form and that put u out of the situation. Make sure no body goes to the consulate unless you are asked to do so by the consulate, which might seriously delay the process.
