  • H1 transfer after a period of unemployment

I was laid off a month ago and now i found full time job after a month of unemployment. I have heard that most recent paystubs are needed for H1 transfer. Since i didn't get pay for a month, so will there be a problem in H1 visa transfer?

Yes there would be problem. One cannot just be jobless while on H1 in US and sit at home unless first applying a valid COS or transfer request.

You are currently out of status and accumulating more out of status period. Once out of status you cant apply for a transfer or Change to any other visa type.

This is my opinion not legal advice.
