  • Leaving an organization after prelim wage determination has been filed

    Hi,
I am on H1B and working as a contractor. My employer has started the GC process for me(waiting on preliminary wage determination).
Meanwhile i have a full time opportunity in hand who are willing to transfer by H1B now and would file for GC next year.

Is it advisable to join the full time under such circumstances or shall i wait on my 140 and then look for full time opportunity?

If you contractor employer is just another corner shop doing body shopping, sucking your money and blood for everything, stay away.
If your full time opportunity is with a big company having no financial problems then go for FT and then get GC filed through them.
If your contractor employer and FT employer are within 10~15% range of financials (revenues, profits), employee headcount then go with anyone who is filing your GC first.

You can answer these If's and derive the conclusion.
    Good luck!
