H1 RFE - University not eligible in masters cap (private and for-profit)

I graduated from an accredited private university in 2012 and have been working on OPT since then. This year (2014) my employer applied for my H1 visa under masters quota without realizing that only public/non-profit universities are eligible for masters cap. Now I have got an RFE asking to prove that my university is public or non-profit.

First of all, is it true that only public/non-profit universities are eligible for masters cap?

If so, what options do I have now...?
