Hi all,
I applied for an H1b at a Consulate a few days ago and administrative processing was ordered. However, I'm going to the US for a conference next week, and it's unlikely that I can obtain clearance before that. I have a valid B visa (obtained just three months ago after receiving clearance).
The consular officer said that there would be a unresolved case on my record at the Immigration Department. As a result, I’ll have a hard time at the border control and may be denied entry into the US, she warned me. But my B visa remains valid so she can't say that I can't go, but she cannot guarantee that I'll be allowed entry.
Just want to ask if anyone has a similar experience before? How difficult was it at the border control?
Thanks.
