H1 B Visa Clock reset

Hi,

I came to India, early this year in the month of January from USA. I was there on L1 Visa for 2.5 year. My employer filed H1B visa in April 2014 and its got approved on August 2014. I am planning to travel on Jan 2015 i.e. after on year after my arrival to India. What will be my max duration in USA on H1 B Visa. Is it 6 years or my L1B tenure will get calculated and it will be reduced to 3.5 years? Please let me know.

3.5 Years , as you applied before completing 1 Year outside US.
