Reg change of visa from L to H

Hi,
I have hired a lady who had a previous EAD -work visa which expires in 2008.
Now she is working for a employer with a new HI visa and that expires in 2008.
Can I legally employ her on a part time basis and pay taxes without any legal problems for my company or for the employee.

As long as her EAD is valid, you can hire her.
