Change of petitioner on I-797 (Not H1 Stamped yet)

Hi all:
I have received I-797 approved in July 2014, residing in India. I waiting for H1Visa interview and the stamping process.

My current sponsoring organization ABCcompany(in the US) is undergoing an acquisition and no more willing to proceed for my H1 Stamping (almost job offer is closed). Since I have my valid WAC number and I-797, Is it legal that another organization XYZCompany in the US offering me and repetition subsequently, and complete my H1B stamping?

Please provide sufficient info with pros and cons if any.
