    Hi Friends,

Iam currently working in H1B for the past 4 years and 2 years still left on my H1B. Due to personal reasons, Iam planning to take some time off.

So I want change to H4 visa as my husband is working in H1B visa.

After an year or so, I would like to find a new employer to apply for H1B visa. Is that possible? Am I still considered as CAP exempt?

    Please advise.

Thanks in advance for valuable responses!!

Yes you would be cap exempt till 6 Years from last held H1 status. So if you leave in say Oct 2014, then till Oct 2020 another employer can file to claim the 2 remaining years.

This is my opinion not legal advice.
