H1B expired in India without travelling..what next?

Hello All,

Need urgent help.

I had H1B stamped in 2011 which expired in 2014 (September).
Was working with Employer A in India when it was stamped.
Moved to Employer B in India and without travel the Visa has expired.

I have lost my petition papers as well. So apart from the stamp that I have on my passport, I don't have anything with me.
If I need to travel to the USA now through Employer B, what should I do?

I am pretty naive in this area and would appreciate all the help rendered.

Hello, Neelam.

Your visa can be revived with a new sponsor/employer. You will need some documents though. Do you not have your I-797 or the Petition number, at least?

Check with your new employer on what all documents they would need. In principle, your visa can be revived and you can use it for complete 6 years.
