  • Appointment at Chennai

    Hi,

Please find below my issues and queries. Could you please address them at your earliest?

    Situation:
    1. I am currently in USA on B1 VISA
    2. I need to take an appointment at Chennai for H1 VISA as I am resident of Karnataka, India

    Issue:
    1. The vfs system doesn't allow me to take an appointment; instead, it gives me a message that the "Interview dates are not availabe"

    Queries:
    1. Does this indicate that we do not have an appointment dates at Chennai for next 6 months?
    2. In such a case, can I take an appointment at Delhi for the month of January?
    3. If I select the option "An Indian citizen resident in the US", it allows me to take an appointment at Delhi. Can I choose this option as I am currently in US on B1 VISA?

    Please advice at your earliest.

    Thanking you,

    Vij

i dont think you would be allowed to take it at delhi, your passport address is your residence address, so you still fall in chennai consulate. There r some cases on this forum, who were redirected to their approprite consultes, when they appeared in wrong consulates.
