Need Info on H1B transfer

Hi,

I am in India have a H1B visa stamped on my passport and is valid till Oct 2016.

My current employer who is Petitioner have not sent me to US till now due to unavailability of opportunity.

Could anyone please tell me if I can transfer my visa to other employer and if so what is the process.

You need to first find an employer by telling them that you have an approved H1.
Using the current employer's I797 approval notice, another employer can file a cap exempt petition for you. Once the new petition is approved, you can travel on exisiting visa along with the new petition
