H1B - I-797 Form First Name mismatch with I-129 Petition

Hi,

There's mismatch in First Name between I-797 and I -129 form
last letter of my First Name is missing in I-797 Form where as in I-129 form is correctly entered as in PASSPORT.

EX: First Name in I -129 : Gobi Venkatesan
First Name in I-797 is : Gobi Venkatesa

Please let me know what can be done in this case.
Expecting response,Can I Proceed with VISA Stamping with this or Need to do amendment
How long will it take for regular amendment process? Will any risk involved in this.

You should go for correction. It can take a Month or so to get it corrected.

Hi ,
I have a similar issue. but they have made mistake in both the forms I-797 and I -129 .
My name should be mentioned as 'Prashanth' but they mentioned as 'Prashant' where 'h' is missing. So do I need to go for Amendment or can I proceed with the stamping?
Please advice me.
