H1 to H4 process

Hi,

My wife is currently on H1, she didnt worked after she got H1 .
Initially she came to US on H4 and got H1 approved in 2013 sept, she didnt got job upto now .
Now she has to travel to India .

Her employer suggested go to stamping directly by booking H4 slot in Hyderbad consulate.

Please help me , is this experienced by any one.
