H1 B location change amendment process and requirements

Hi, I am changing my location from one to different state within company. So I need to file H1 B amendment.
Can I move to new location first and then company can file amendment from new location? Also how much time does it take to approve?
If I cannot move earlier, can I move when it is under process?

It is not advisable to move and start working from new location without first getting approved amendment. If in a hurry, apply in premium.
