Cos from F1 to H4

I am currently in F1 status. My husband is in h1b status. i want to change my status from F1 to H4. can anyone tell me the processing time and do i need to attend the college after receiving the receipt of application, that is after applying for change of status. my i 20 expires on september 2015.

Cos from F1 to H4

COS process would take 3 - 6 months. Your F1 status will not change until H4 COS approved.
