Hi,
I have a query on H1B visa.
My H1B visa was filed in 2008. I have used about 2.5 yrs of the 6 yr H1B visa period. I am in US now.
If I change my job now, will it require an H1B visa transfer by the employer or will it need to go through the lottery again in April 2015?
Details about the scenario are mentioned below,
I came to US in 2009 and worked on H1B visa for 10 months and went back to India.
I came back after 2 months for Masters (2 yrs study). Completed studies in 2012 and worked till May 2013 on F1 OPT visa.
My old H1B visa was re-invoked in June 2013. Have changed employers since then and they have all used the same visa with H1 transfers.
Now, I might be required to change employer again. In such a case, will the next employer only need to transfer the H1B visa (since I have nearly 36 months remaining) or will a new H1B visa be required to be filed because it has been more than 6yrs since it was first filed?
Please guide me.
