Dear Sir,
My husband is currently in L1b visa with employer B since 2013 and he wants to get his visa changed to H1b to find a better job.
In his past employment during 2009 he worked for employer A and they filed a H1b visa. His H1b visa was approved but he resigned this job as they never gave an onsite opportunity. Also my husband never got his approved petition at hand. Could you pls help me understand if this H1b visa can be reinstated now to avoid the cap process? Kindly note, we have the approved file number only for this H1B visa.. Pls help with your inputs..

Yes it is possible to utilize this H1 petition however you need to check with the future employer whether they can accept your receipt number alone as most of the employers would expect H1 approved petition copy.
