My employer is going to file petition on this April'2015. And my passport will get expired in June'2017. My wish is not to come back soon to India for re-issue of my passport if my H1b gets approved.
I have few queries:
1. If my H1b gets approved, what will be validity of my H1b visa?
2. Is it possible to reissue my passport now as my address got changed? This'll change expiry date for my passport, right? Pls confirm.
3. If above point 2) is correct, then can I go for address change of my passport now? I came to know that during petition process passport has to be valid. that means I need to get my passport reissued before April 1st, right? OR can I do it once my petition gets approved and before H1b visa stamping?
4. Does passport validity get checked when employer files LCA?
