Hi all,
I am a resident of Hyderabad and booked an appointment in Chennai consulate for my H1B visa in the month of July and got the visa date for Jan 18th. After I joined another company, moved to Mumbai in August and staying there since then.Now I want to cancel my appointment in Chennai and re-book a date in Mumbai consulate. When I contacted Chennai Consulate regarding this, they redirected me to Mumbai Consulate. When I spoke to VFS-services in Mumbai, initially they said one has to be in Mumbai for atleast for six months to be eligible to apply for H1B in Mumbai consulate
But later when I told them that I got B1 visa to US from Mumbai(I got it in Oct-2005), then they told me that I can goahead and book in Mumbai consulate. I just want to know from experts if I can appply in Mumbaiconsulate or not.
