  • Can I change Employer if I just have the petition number????

    Hi... Guys...

I just have my approved H1b petition number with me... That is valid till 2017...

Can I change employer at this moment???

    I never went to US....

But I am getting an offer from other company with good pay package... I can't go to US at the moment... so want to change company and utilize my H1B approved petition over there.... ???

Is it possible if I just have the petition number with me????

    Help guys....

Possible but how are you sure that the number belongs to you? And this is the reason many employers may be reluctant, they would want to see the actual approval notice or a copy of it, which only your H1 petitioner can provide.

This is my opinion not legal advice.

In that case it would be easier for another employer to file a cap exempt petition for you.
