H1B to tourist Visa? How to do that?

I am on H1B and my last day of work will be June 30th. I would like to travel for leisure for one month after that. What do I have to do? Get a B2? Where should I apply for that? When?

Form I539 to be filed for H1 to B2 COS,to be filed before your last working day. Remember, it can take months for this COS to get approved, and chances are usually slim to none. So if you are expecting to return to H1 after 1 Month of break , it might be difficult to do so being in US.

Personal advice, rather than trying a H1 to B2 and then a B2 to H1 and to avoid the hassles and complications around it, plan a trip abroad for 1 Month if break is all you need
