Can H4 dependent do forex trading?

i am currently on H4 visa.

Previously was on L2 visa and was into forex trading.

2yrs back my husband changed from l1 to h1b . I havent traded in a long time.

Thought of planning to start my forex trading again. Wanted to make sure if i could resume my trading on H4.

When i contacted the forex broker(fxcm) they said i dont need a work visa or work permit to do forex trading and all i need is only to be residing in usa.

Currently my husband's GC is at perm level.

Can i trade on H4 visa provide i file my taxes. is it legal?

Will it affect my husband's gc processing?

Forex traders would not know about immigrations laws they would be more inclined to see their commission.

I dont think you can. I believe any active decision making which involves you making money is work and for work you need valid authorization. If you have spent 6 years in US then you may be eligible for H4 EAD, otherwise wait till I140 approval.
