My wife came to USA on H4 dependent visa which got stamped in India (2013). Last October 2014, she got her H1B (COS) approved. Right now she is working on H1B and planning to quit her job. Hence we are planning to revert her back to H4.
I was thinking of 2 options to change and I am not sure which one is legally correct, so I need some advice on this issue.
Option 1: Travel to Canada/Mexico/India and come back to USA on H4. Her's H4 visa is still valid until Feb 2016, can she use this while entering the US or does she have to go the embassy for H4 stamping again?
Option 2: Apply for Change of Status (COS) from H4 to H1B. Please let me know what documents are required to do this process.
