Immediate please. What is the procedure to convert from h1b to b1/b2 visa? I have been laid off, I need some time to sell my things and get back to India.

You can file for it using I539, but it takes few Months for approval. I would suggest you apply for it yet leave immediately without waiting for the decision on H1 to b1/2.

Thanks raghvi. If I find someone to sponsor me h1b transfer, will that be a worthy attempt to make? Do you have any suggestion on this please?
